If this were my last day on earth,
I wouldn't cry.
If you tried to sell me another year or two,
I wouldn't buy.
There's something dark, ugly, but beautiful crawling underneath my skin.
Not every black thread sews something suitable.
So tell me how you know so much about somewhere you've never been.

Picture frame.
Picture perfect.
Picture all you've ever wanted.
And since you refuse to picture both
Does that make you safer
Or more likely to be haunted?

I've come a long way
Traveled so far
Searching for this meeting of the minds but if eyes are windows to the soul
You've drawn the blinds
Drawn the blinds

If this were my last day on earth
