I never leave the mirror
Until I see my father

I sit quietly by the window
And watch them all move quickly by

I know what I know
It only comes with time
When your blood begins to feel
The pull of sunset's tide

When the winter can't stop the bloom
And the end is long delayed
I will show you that small room
White sheets, white light
Flowers on the wall

I recall my younger days
Of ignorance and days of pride
But the mask can grow into the skin
Until one day you just die

Now I'm invisible
Like a blackbird's shadow
My face is yours reflected in
Your rippled shallow waters

What we are is more precious
When seen trough eyes
Fed by blood that feels the pull
