Thank You For The Son

Of all the things that I would say
If I could meet Him face to face,
I'm not sure I'd know just where to start.
Should I thank Him for eternity,
For life and love and liberty,
Blessings I hold dear here in my heart.
But nothing that He's done for me would mean a thing,
If He had not so loved the world He gave his own.

Thank you for the Son,
Thank you for the one
Precious Lamb who bore my sins alone,
Who's blood atoned for all the wrong I've that I have done,
Thank you for the one,
Thank you for the Son.

Though many things I can't control,
I can't see what the future holds,
But I'll stand on the promise of His word,
Whatever force can come to pass
He holds me gently in His grace,
A blessing so much more than I deserve.
So what could I say to Him for the sacrifice He made
And in the pain it caused Him when He gave his own.

Thank you for the One.
