When I got to Wyoming
And I saw the mountains
Capped off to remind me firmly
Winter had just escaped me
It was then that I realized
That ten-thousand miles
Wasn't really very far to run
Was really nothing i'd call fun at all
So I never unpacked-
Just made a couple calls
Gathered up the essentials
To speed me back here safely, after all
So you still live so simply
Caught in all those dreams
While everyone else is fast asleep
You create the joys
That strangers keep so close
Maybe you and I aren't so different after all
Though so short on funds
Its good to feel there isn't far to fall
Listen to the evening
I have spent much time there
Searching outside for answers
Loving the moments alone
Gather strong around it
I never stayed too long there
Wandered back here for balance
That I dropped on my roam
So it's so nice to see you tonight
You bring me back home
Can I say to you softly now
I never understood the word that you call passion
Never had the same compassion
But although I am far from there
I've learned to love my life
And what it means to be here
Somethin' out there made that all so clear
Whispers down the lane echo in the soul
For all I now know dear
I've lost my mind
You shouldn't be so kind
