If We Claim Songtext

If we claim
To have no sin
We deceive ourselves
And the truth is not in us
If we claim
We have not sinned
We make him a liar
And his word is not in us
If we confess our sins
He is faithfull and just
He will forgive us our sins
And purify us from all (unrighteousness)
If anybody does sin
We have the one who speaks
To the father in our defence
Jesus christ - the righteous one
He is the atoning sacrifice
For our sins
And not only for ours
But also for the sins
Of the whole world
Two men went up
To the temple to pray
One a pharisee and
The other a tax collector
The pharisee stood up alone
And prayed about himself
God I thank you that i'm, not like other men
Robbers, evildors, adulterers
Or even like this tax collector
But the tax collector
Stood at a distance
He would not even look
Up to heaven
But beat his breast and said
God have mercy on me
I'm a sinner
