As I went down to the market place
A strange deep emotion came over me
Followed the sound of a melody
A snake charmer played on his wooden pipe

The lid of the creel opens up somewhat
The serpent appears in a state of trance
Could not avert my eyes no more
Infatuated of this piercing glance

A picture of you
Is confusing my mind
