I'm so ashamed of front page news
What about the power of rhythm and blues?

Maybe we should believe it

And freedom, after all, I'm finding, is blinding

Remember why we revolutioned?
It's black and white inthe constitution
Then why the hell are woman and blacks,
Still bein' trated as second class?
Each day I'm more amazed
At what a funky haze I live in
Real heroes every day
