Welcome everyone to sports day at Killaloe

They come from all around
To celebrate the fair in town
They stand together in their teams
It's passion for the games
They closed the Shannon bridge today
Much traffic at Tinarana Bay
The best athletes of county Clare
Are gathered in this place

All arrangements have been done
Now they cheer, they spur and run
They reach out for the cup
Fighting for their local club

The competitions have begun
This challenge's moving everyone
The goal is set, they're trying hard
To gain the upper hand
The trophy's glittering in the sun
And hunting is a lot of fun
This goblet is adornment
It will grace the union's shelf

The crazy Limerick soccer guys
They cheer aloud and clarify
Their claim to win the match this time
They're heading for the prize
All sportsmen try to score a coup
It's once a year in Killaloe
They trained a lot to be the best
Their motto's, Stand or fall!"
