He sold everything he owned
Gathered courage and joy
Said goodbye to his family
And decided to go out into the world

He left very early on the day
That he decided to be a grown man
He knew he would return a rich man

As the neighbours laughed behind her back
He took off to go abroad
But returned without a penny
