Why is it so hard to leave when you're not even happy?
You know you'll stay until you get kicked out.
You sit and dream of home and it's so far to go alone
And it looks so cold outside.
And anyway it's nearly closing time.

Wouldn't you like to know you had the strength to go.
And even in the rain, you could be there by now.
If you only knew how to begin.

And all this time you've spent with him weighs down upon you.
Should have gone when you first had your doubts
But it's so hard to throw away, when there's always a reason to stay.
