These visits I had no idea at the time

These stories she told
I felt ancient fear
Of that man in our home
All the pieces fit together
This was only days before intervention
Sweet destructive winds came blew our lives
Away from this place
Strange way to be saved
By what twisted and mangled our home that day
It ran through every inch of me
Instant I saw
Through the eyes of this child
A boy who is no more
Who is now just a shade
Turned into what I am
I relive this moment
