These things
What have they in common
Hate, love, aren't they the same
The feelings that I have you for you
The paradox between the two
These things
What they have in common is you
Day, night, both are the same
Spinning thru time & space
Is the universe already full
Full enough of all the fools
Do they know all the answers
To the questions they keep
Carry out the wish of the old and aged
Hear what I say
Can you love me the way I need you to
Ancient lovers often failed the attitude
These things
What have they in common
Fighting and making love
Come hold me to feel the answer
Then silent we'll lay as one
But they, the world, often only hear
What they want to hear
And yet still I give only one answer
