Old corners Songtext

Going back to the old corners of my childhood
It's been a long time but it feels the same underneath
Vacant lot, my early playground behind our building
A fountaine in the jungle
The place I used to spend my time laying

Laying
In the hay on my back
Watching the clouds go by
I was wondering
What life will bring

Once forgotten dear memories come to life
Those familiar lines still crack the brick wall
Barren land that bears only junk and dry weed
Still it was an oasis in the middle of this desert
I was laying

Laying
In the hay on my back
Watching the clouds go by
I was wondering
What life will bring

Gazed at the clouds above me
Molded figures out of them
As they drifted slowly by
Waiting for them to give me
The answer to the riddle
What shall I do
What will I be

Now that years have passed
I'm laying here with the same questions
Seems like I've never been away
Has time stood still
Because nothing has changed
I realize I'm still that same little boy
I'm laying

Laying
In the hay on my back
Watching the clouds go by
I was wondering
What life will bring
