The Indifferent Hedgehog Songtext

There's a hedgehog on my fence
He treats me with indifference
And I in turn ignore him,
Even though he's close to me.
I was told when I was small
That China wasn't far at all,
But now I can't remember why I've never been to see.
Long ago when I was smaller
I remember growing taller
If I could be kind and good
The world would smile on me.
Tell me what you want to know
Ask me and I'll try to show you
Everywhere there is to go and everything to see.
There's a sparrow on my roof
Who manages to stay aloof
And go about his daily business much the same as me.
