John was only young when he
Learned about the birds and bees
Or so he thought
His parents told him long ago
‘Bout everything that he should know
And should be taught.
And later when he went to school
He found another set of rules
Which he forgot
It wasn't what he'd like to hear
And went straight out the other ear
He had his shot.
He was a one can danger man, a liability
Far too free, no attention span, or sensibility
Found out too late
To try to mend his foolish ways
But he had fun at the end of the day.
By the age of seventeen
His record was so far from clean
It turned to rot
His soul was just a barren land
An empty space where once was planned
A beauty spot.
