For the little boy monsters come at night, and he cries out, "could you please turn on the light.
The glass of water helped, but won't you come and see. These monsters in my room just won't let me sleep."
Mommy and daddy, they came down the hall. How they loved their little boy, they just couldn't refuse his call.
They came into the room, their boy he looked so sweet.
They kneeled beside his bed and sang their boy to sleep.
