It's A Groovy World

It's a groovy world,
This is agroovy worl we live in
And everybody must know
That people are gonna be people
No matter where to go.
So forget the black, the white, and the rich,
The poor, the right, and the wrong,
Let's concentrate on getting rid of hate
And make this a groovy world.

You can't teach an old dog new tricks,
So the saying goes,
And the old folks don't understand us youngster
And claim we're just too grown
But if we took the time to explaine
And give the old folks a chance
We might be surprised, they might change their minds,
And begin to understand.
To each his own, and know thyself,
Another saying goes,
But different strokes for different folks
Is the one you probably know.
You don't have to trip to be hip,
To feel what life can be,
If I can dig you, you dig me,
This world would be such a groovy place.

So it's up to you and me
To get this world together
To pool our reasons, collect our cools,
And try to make things better
They say today we're tomorrow's leader
So why don't we all take heed
And set an example for the world to follow
To show just what it needs,
To see a flower child walking hand in hand
With a militant man
And to know that peace instead of war
Prevails in our land,
And to know today that people may
From all across the globe,
Join hands in brotherhood like we should
And make this a groovy world.
