Once up in Great Neck Long Island
In the cold November morning sun
There were two hearts standing at the station
Waiting for their train to come
Under the big clock on the platform
I took this picture of her there
She was looking down the tracks
We thought we were going somewhere

I've always been dragged in somehow
But I've got these things that she left me with
I can't get free of them now

Under the merciless moonlight
