5 days of the week
I wake up from my sleep
Before the sunrise and rub my bleary eyes
Just the job for the summer I tell myself but it's a bummer
In the shower turn it on after that then I'm gone
Jog to my car, I really don't have that far
Driving down the road I never see a soul
The sun is just coming up, drink up coffee from my cup
Just to keep myself awake, boy do I need a break.
Monday's like Tuesday's, always go so slow.
Wednesday it blows my mind half way left to go.
Thursday it teases just beyond my grasp.
Friday comes the week is done, I thought I'd never last.
Reality's got ahold of me and it won't let go
I work all day and I try to say
Still there's nothing to show)
Get to work at 5 past 8, I sit and wait, My boss is late.
The movement of the minute hand my boss is there with big requests
Hope my dreamin' can't be true, there's so much I have to do
On my feet, time to begin, ask myself just what I'm in
While I'm working my mind
Is drifting far away where work is missing
Easy life without a care, click 3 times but I'm not there.
Look at the dial against my will, time just seems to stand still.
I wish I could fly away find myself a better day
Monday's like Tuesday's, always go so slow.
Wednesday it blows my mind half way left to go.
Thursday it teases just beyond my grasp.
Friday comes the week is done, I thought I'd never last.
Reality's got ahold of me and it won't let go
I work all day and I try to say
Still there's nothing to show)
What I wouldn't do to be unemployed rich and free
Someday I will wait and see not a thing to worry me
No more out late at night, waking up before the light
Party's out pretty right. Is my picture painted right.
What I wouldn't do to be unemployed rich and free
Someday I will wait and see not a thing to worry me
No more out late at night, waking up before the light
Party's out pretty right. Is my picture painted right.
Taking a breath to clear my head, killing myself to make some bread
Can't believe the job they have, ready to turn right where I stand
Just when I'm about to quit had enough and over it
Time for lunch I need a break, not much more that I can take
Goodbye to work, I must go, so that I could have some dough
Boost myself through the heat, ready to drop and take a seat
Boss is yelling he doesn't pay for me to sit and waste away
Just when I'm about to quit, day is over I'm over it.
