Six feet deep buried beneath my feet
Under drifts of snow
Where the north wind blows
Snow piled high under a northern sky
Rested those who fell and died well
Winter burial like a memorial
In a frozen cemetery
Tramping through red snow
Blood spilt, guts poured frozen to my feet
Freezing cold stopped the flow
From open wounds
Slit throat, gushed poured
From a shattered neck
Blood formed crimson jagged icicles
That sparkled like crystals
Under a freezing moon
Of those whose stories of victory told
On frosty breath by those who cheated death
From the north dawned forth
The supremacy of man
In the dead of winter
Bodies emerge from the snow
Like a whitened milestone
Terror frosted on pale blue faces
Preserved for eternity, written in history
Iced sword blood poured, frozen to my hands
Battles rage in this age for Vinland
