It shreds my heart in a million different places every time
I think about the scrawled out cursive lines
In the notebook that we found by the roadside
That said: "I hope someday I'm deaf and dumb and blind.
I'll skinny dip with girls in lakes of wine
And find my way by clutching to their thighs.
From one set to the next I'll float through time,
My face slapped upon my stepping out of line."

My heart does swell on remembering the words smeared on the wall
Of the dimly-lit abandoned bathroom stall
In the cinema in the abandoned mall
In all capitals said: "For a good time call
My girlfriends, they're all living down the hall.
I lay awake at night and watch them fall
Asleep, then I slowly attempt to crawl
Into their beds and then proceed to kiss them all."
