Things that we didn't know we'd later miss
But simplest things make best rewards
A gentle touch, a smile, a word, a kiss

But life speeds up as we slow down
An extra spin to every round
We strive for more than quick rewards
The quick rewards

I know what it's like later in life
When you are with me time is all we need
But there is none so we run around
So fast that we sometimes forget to breath

It's driving us forth whatever the cause
A hundred turns back we know we'd be lost
But it's part of the fun
It won't be the last time that we saw
Our dreams alive
