I'm feeling sorry for the world today
They're making food the corporation way
Use the grain to fatten up the beef
They're starving children in the Third World streets

The sun won't shine and the rain won't rain
Can't grow the gruels if we break the chain
We're gonna have to fix this bitter cup
North wind's a blowing and the sand storm's up

Rising prices, energy crisis
We never get to make headway
Politicians, contradictions
Always seem to lead us astray

So lift yourself up to your inner star
Your love's news no matter who you are
There's a choice, we have to choose
We hear a voice, do you hear the news

People shining, Dark Age declining
Now the truth can set us free
Inner visions, not superstitions
Will bring peace and harmony
Can you see

To have love we have to give away
