The morning light brought her in from the east,
Her hair was long and hanging in curls.
Drinking wine in the park,
Holding hands in the dark.

Inside a heart was a hidden girl,

I'd gladly play the pawn.

Wanderin' all over the world and trying everyone she meets,
Far away from a homemade clock down here.
