By Graham Goble
A night alone at the cafe,
The candles change everything,
A time to be myself,
A night to be remembering.
Last week I saw him again,
At table two, near the stairs,
I could not eat anything,
And now tonight, again ... he's there.
Don't say a word, I know what you're thinking,
Just let it fly,
Even though you might be sinking,
Just know where you go, my heart will follow you.
Don't walk the tight-rope of life,
Don't change a thing you don't feel,
And in the morning when you rise
Just know that I am real.

When I walk out of here I will look in your eyes,
But you won't be aware as my dress brushes by,
You will go home alone to the one who is there,
And you never will know of my secret affair.
And I will stare at the night,
I'll see your face everywhere,
Your candle burning so bright,
Inside our own secret affair.
Don't say a word, I know what you're thinking,
Just let it fly,
Even though you might be sinking,
Just know where you go, you know my heart will follow you.
A night alone at the cafe,
The candles dance through the air,
Silent words that I say,
Recall you to my secret affair.
