Last night i dreamed what were all like, now were past the end
Some of you were lovers, some of you were friends
Some opened up the doors, others wouldn't come in
Some returned to games, some still preferred to win

Last night i dreamt of those in my early days
Some of you were hero's, some hoped to be saved
Some felt like home, while others they had changed
Faces now unknown, colours rearranged

And when i woke i wasn't sure, if you were real anymore.
Those early days, feel i was blind, it never even crossed my mind
Wish i'd seen you at the time.

I dreamt of the parties, when our folks gave it a try
Filling heads with teenage woes, or looking for a fight
A girl lays down in the grass after one too many wines
First sips of that poison dripping from her eyes

And when i woke i wasn't sure, if they were real anymore
Those early days, feel i was blind. it never even crossed my mind
Wish i'd seen it at the time.

Last night I swam in schoolyard hope
Dreamt of dreams I had had long ago
Forgot i'd hoped for each of those distant things so
But then days they shrink, and you got lost within the flow
And When i woke, i wasn't sure, if those dreams were real anymore
Those early days, feel i was blind, never even crossed my mind
Wished i'd noticed at the time
