If I should die before I wake
I pray The Lord my soul to take
These words would bring me comfort
And would drive away my fears

Childhood memories of happy days gone by
Of games that you and I would sometimes play
And looking back I think about what might have been
But in my heart I know it's just a childhood dream

Building castles on the sand
We ran together hand in hand
And everything we used to do together
Running laughing in the snow
Lacking those things we didn't know
But in time we grew apart from one another
