When she flew into town
Her feet never met the ground
But I saw her face
Like a bright, proud flower
But something around the eyes
Shadows, that put the lie to her laughing voice

A hermit who held no hope
In his withered heart

He lived a life of counterfeit
Pretending his life was sweet
Let others take chances
