Look at these shoes
What do they tell you?
They brought me to where I'm standing
I'm taking them off
For more than a moment
They're tired, so tired, from the walking

Far and faded, I'd never thought I'd find
The path to the nearest fallen star
Wherever it lands is where you are

They've taken me everywhere I've been
Over the same mistakes again

They're shiny on top, scuffed on the bottom
And just a bit rough round the edges,
When they were new, they never got weary
Travelling the world along together
