Overdose on tradition, I put it to the question,
Man, I've had enough of this sedated, B-rated generation with the movers and the shakers, the boss, the tax prayers, it's the coaches and the cops who breed the slave drivers, working minimum wage, no raise, so no escape, remote controls and lipstick uphold the masquerade, so shiny and happy, content with a sales pitch, a broken back and an empty pocket is all you're left with.... synchronized - life is born on my static screen.... sterilized - you're half human and half machine.... you get plugged in - we're all plugged in.... it's beach ballcircus, a saturated market, commercials and malls, life is never that perfect, first they show the family, the job, the smiles, not the bruises, unless it fits the script, to strengthen the illusion, do the slag on the "fags", on the ones who wear rags, make a blockbuster movie on the losers who never had a dime or the time, or the chance to make it right, it's hard to feel alive, looking in from the outside.... slackers in the schoolyards, hookers prowl the malls, custodians of my his-story predict our slowing crawl, but my costume is made for the last charade, I settle for the storm, held hostage in my living room by the goons who protect my door.... in upper culture categories, hormones laced with technology, hamburgers and flags? that shit is only entertainment, it's the same old game, no, the channel hasn't changed - still planting macho legends in our cereal everyday, there's a smile in the aisle and a slogan for all the seasons, decorate the tree with rubber checks and advertising, stay plugged in, neck and neck with your neighbours, a legacy of name brand garbage to acquire....
