People in the lowlands getting mighty worried
High water's on the rise

High water rising – black water miles and miles around
People down in the lowlands
Tryin' to make it up to higher ground

We try to tame the mighty river
Build our houses where water used to be
Change the course of nature
Change destiny
Mother nature, mother nature -
Can't keep her down in chains too long
She'll just do what she's supposed to:
Break loose and hit back hard and strong
