There it goes
Little tear down his nose
To his chin
And it drips
From his skin
And it runs down the sink
Through the drains to the sea
To be lost in the rain

The veins of his eyes
Going painfully dry
As he stares
Into space

Scared of the thoughts
He creates
As they form
In his head
And they won't go away

They're here
Just close your eyes when they appear
Those figurines perform
Your deepest fears
And with your fingers in your ears
Oh Dear

Down on his knees
He leaves
Little slices of cheese
For the mice
That he hears
Squeaks under the stairs
But at once
He arrives
And they run for their lives

Nowhere to escape
When the scariest place is his mind
If to claw
At the walls
Of his face from inside
As he stares through the drapes
At the waves turning white

They're here
Just close your eyes when they appear
Those figurines perform
Your deepest fears

And with your fingers in your ears
You'll be somewhere
Behind your eyes
Beneath your hair
Big sharp grins
And glowing stares
That won't let you hide

Somewhere
Someone's amused at your despair
Some abusive puppeteer
That won't cut you loose

At night
On his boat
In his big yellow coat
He sits
Rowing out
In the midst
As he drifts
From the coast
Disappears like a ghost
With a smile on his lips

With your fingers in your ears
You'll be somewhere
Behind your eyes
Beneath your hair
Big sharp grins
