And that's the song I'd sing for you

If you were a garden flower
You'd be the rose, the only one
And even in my darkest hour
You'd be the welcome morning sun
If I could only pick that flower
And hold its beauty close to me
If only for one fleeting hour
I'd dream of what can never be

If you were the silver sea
I'd sail into your very heart
And I would slip beneath the waves
Knowing we would never part
