I can't watch this play again
Too many times I've stayed the pen
Always hoping that someone would yell “Stop”
And make the arm drop lame
But no one came

Still the show would carry on
Stripping away the false icon
While we would stand there stupid
Watching and waiting, waiting and watching; dumb
Our brain-stems numb
