We used to ball out from like 10 to 6
I wasn't good but I was a relentless kid
When I ain't make the team back in ninth grade
I hit the mall with my boys and got some nice J's
Me and live got down and got back in the gym
Damn, I'm glad I had passionate friends
You can hate but you can't knock our work ethic
We came a long way since my first record
I would get raps every single school day
Lunch time posted up with the same crew
We always hit the open mic on Tuesdays
And I made sure the girls always came through
Hot Cheetos and some green tea
Red fingers every time that you see me
And a fresh line up, white crow club
And I miss being young, now we grown up

I'm so thankful for the times we had
I remember all the times we laughed
Looking back man I'm so glad

When I was younger I used to play games with my pops
I can't believe I was ashamed of my pops
Now that I am older he's my role model
I reminisce sippin' out this cold bottle
He encouraged me to learn on my own
And when I fell down he let me burn on my own for a second
Just so I could understand the lows and appreciate the highs
Now I always try to smile
Even when I'm down cause I'm thankful for the fact
That my dad's been around, he's so happy for me now
Just last week we shared the same stage
In the book of life we on the same page

My mom worked hard to make sure I ate good

Always took me to piano class
