Of a trunk, of a crown and roots
It will grow for as long as it can
Bearing blossom and bearing fruits

Take another look around
An effort deciphering the nature
Of your expectations
Though you've lost your patience

Dig a spade into the ground
And tear out what's casting a shadow
On hopes and temptations —
Your savaged plantations

You're holding a seed
That might grow to exceed

If you give it space, growth can finally start
