The mists of change begin to clear
The dark of Ages disappears
The buds are back, the leaves are here
The thought of summer's more than I can bear

Crying in a man I know is wrong
It's just that winter's been so long
And everything's been going wrong
The summer brings such hope withing spring song

If things come soon, and soon they must
I promised myself to clear the dust
That's building up inside my head
Shrinking the rope of life into this fraying thread
